Athlete Restaurant Program
The Athlete Restaurant Program will be a part of the 2024 Multisport World Championships Townsville. The program is designed to encourage athletes to dine at local restaurants, cafes, food vendors and hospitality venues in the hope to boost the local economy further, and we would love for your business to be involved!
Each athlete will receive 2 x $10 vouchers. They are able to use these at participating venues in Townsville for the period of the program.
Date: Wednesday 14th August – Monday 26th August 2024
To Participate as a Venue: Contact our Team at info@townsville.triathlon.org and email your opening hours, a short paragraph and copy of your logo (JPEG or PNG) for promotion on our website.
- We will provide you with a poster /sticker to display in your window to show you are involved in the program.
- Restaurant vouchers will be collected by IRONMAN on Monday 19th & Tuesday 27th with payment made to you via Credit card for all vouchers received. (Unless you specifically request a direct transfer.)
Terms:
- Athletes will receive 2 x $10.00 vouchers for each race that they participate in, to use at participating restaurants and businesses.
- Vouchers will be valid from Wednesday 14th August – Monday 26th August 2024
- Athletes can use their vouchers and this amount will be taken off the bill at the end. Any outstanding money to be paid directly to the restaurant by the athlete.
- If the Athlete does not spend the full $10.00 (one voucher), they will forfeit the remaining amount.
- Each RESTAURANT/VENUE is to keep all vouchers. At the collection time, IRONMAN will redeem the vouchers received. Please note, IRONMAN will only redeem the number of vouchers collected. e.g., 10 x Vouchers @ $10.00 per voucher = $100.00 (inclusive of GST)
Payment Options:
- Credit Card: If you decide on this option, there will be two settlement days Monday 19th August & Tuesday 27th August. We will visit each restaurant to pay the bill via credit card payment. We will require all vouchers and a tax receipt (from your register is fine provided it includes your ABN and GST amount) before we can make payment.
- Bank Transfer: Upon receiving the invoice for number of vouchers collected, this will go into the 30-day payment system with our Accounts Team.
We welcome local Restaurants, Cafes, Bars, Food Vendors and others to get involved and support his program. The more businesses involved the greater the options for the athletes.
