Run 1 (5km)
Athletes start Run 1 on Howitt Street, heading in a clockwise direction through Jezzine Park, head onto the Esplanade before taking in the stunning views out to Magnetic Island up the Boardwalk of Jezzine Barracks then down through Jezzine Barracks towards The Strand. This 2.5km lap will be completed twice.
Transition
Transition is located on The Strand, in front of Shore Drive Motel.
Bike (20km)
The Agegroup Sprint Duathlon is a one lap bike course. Athletes head 2km south along The Strand to the turnaround at Tobruk Pools, come back along the Strand then turn left onto Landsborough Street onto Mitchell Street continue past Howitt St intersection and turn left into Isley Street onto Primrose Street then right onto Heatleys Parade. This continues onto Cape Pallarenda Road with a turn around point at end of this road and head back into Transition at Jezzine Park.
Run 2 (2.5km)
Athletes start Run 2 on Howitt Street, heading in a clockwise direction through Jezzine Park, head onto the Esplanade before taking in the stunning views out to Magnetic Island up the Boardwalk of Jezzine Barracks then down through Jezzine Park towards the finish line.
Run 1 (5km)
Athletes start Run 1 on Howitt Street, heading in a clockwise direction through Jezzine Park, head onto the Esplanade before taking in the stunning views out to Magnetic Island up the Boardwalk of Jezzine Barracks then down through Jezzine Barracks towards The Strand. This 2.5km lap will be completed twice for Run 1.
Transition
Transition is located on The Strand, in front of Shore Drive Motel.
Bike (20km)
This four lap bike course is going to set The Strand alight with fast-paced action!
With three turnarounds on each lap, roundabouts and speedbumps, it will test athletes racing techniques.
Athletes head 2km south along The Strand to the turnaround at Tobruk Pools, come back along the Strand then turn left onto Landsborough Street to complete a technical section towards the last turnaround of the lap at the Mitchell and Howitt St intersection to complete the lap.
Run 2 (2.5km)
Athletes start Run 2 on Howitt Street, heading in a clockwise direction through Jezzine Park, head onto the Esplanade before taking in the stunning views out to Magnetic Island up the Boardwalk of Jezzine Barracks then down through Jezzine Park towards the finish line.
Run 1 (5km)
Run 1 starts at Howitt Street, with athletes heading anti-clockwise along Jezzine Way West, right onto Cook St before turning left onto The Esplanade. Athletes will then complete a turnaround on Rose St before coming back onto The Esplanade, turning right onto Cook St to complete a turnaround before coming back onto Jezzine Way West and descending to the turnaround point. This 2.5km course will be completed twice for Run 1.
Transition
Transition is located on The Strand, in front of Shore Drive Motel.
Bike (20km)
This bike course is going to set The Strand alight with fast-paced action.
Athletes will head out of transition 2km south along The Strand, which provides some technical racing with roundabouts and speed bumps, to the turn-around at Tobruk Pool before coming back along the Strand – perfect for spectators to get some great race viewing! Athletes will complete five laps of this course before entering transition.
Run 2 (2.5km)
Athletes will complete one lap of the 2.5km course, heading anti-clockwise along Jezzine Way West, right onto Cook St before turning left onto The Esplanade. Athletes will then complete a turnaround on Rose St before coming back onto The Esplanade, turning right onto Cook St to complete a turnaround before heading back onto Jezzine Way West and through to the finish line on Howitt Street.
