Welcome to the 2024 World Triathlon Multisport Championships Townsville
The World Triathlon Multisport World Championships Townsville 2024 is a 12-day event with 19 World Championship races across five different levels of athletes, including Age Group, Para triathletes, Junior, Under 23 and Elites.
There are 8 World Championship events – Duathlon Sprint, Duathlon Standard, 2×2 Mixed Relay, Cross Triathlon, Cross Duathlon, Aquathlon, Long Distance Triathlon and Aquabike.
In what will be the largest sporting spectacle ever to be held in Townsville, 4,500 competitors representing over 50 countries from all around the world will make their way to North Queensland for this event.
This is the first time the World Triathlon Multisport Championships have been held in Australia. Previous events have been held in Canada, Demark & Spain.
The 12 days will be actioned packed full of fun and sporting competition. From the Opening ceremony and Parade of Nations through to the Closing Ceremony and Party!
The local community can get involved by volunteering, supporting, spectating across the 12 days and are able to participate in the community event – Carmichael Ford Townsville Triathlon and Multisport Festival on the 24th August 2024.
